Well Women's Check

Sydney Women's Wellness offer a two-part Woman's Check designed to help you understand your health now and plan ahead with confidence. This preventive women’s health assessment at our Greenwich clinic brings together screening, risk review, practical next steps and health education in one place.

Who is this for?

This appointment is for women who may feel well but want a thorough check-in, or who know screening has slipped during a busy season of life. We review what is recommended for your age and stage, talk through your personal and family history, and help you make sense of all the advice out there to live and stay well.

“The most powerful thing a woman can do for her long-term health is also the least glamorous.

It’s not testing 150 biomarkers, it’s not a full body scan and it’s not the perfect supplement stack. It's covering the basics, knowing your personal risk, being up to date with your screenings, and focusing on good nutrition, movement, sleep, and stress management. The things that actually move the needle in preventative health.”

Well Women's Check

A Well Women's Check is a more proactive and preventive approach to your health. Rather than focusing only on a problem once it arises, it is designed to review your overall health, screening needs, and risk factors in a more comprehensive way. Part 1 includes a thorough assessment with our nurse, and Part 2 is a consultation with one of our Women's Health GPs to review your results, discuss any concerns, ensure you understand and create a personalised plan for your ongoing care.

Please allow approximately 45–60 minutes for Part 1 - Nurse Consultation. We then book a 30 minute Part 2 - Women's Health GP appointment 1–2 weeks later to allow time for you to complete any investigations. If you would like to discuss perimenopause or menopause you can arrange a 60 minute Part 2 consult.

Our preventive health review looks at the major areas of screening relevant to women's health, including breast, bowel, bone, and cervical health. We also assess cardiovascular and diabetes risk, and consider lifestyle factors that may influence your overall health and future disease risk.

We generally recommend a Well Woman's Check every one to two years, depending on your age and individual health needs.
