How We Work

Sydney Women's Wellness is a GP-led clinic in Sydney dedicated entirely to women's health. Our doctors have trained specifically in this area, from hormonal and reproductive health to fertility, pregnancy and menopause, and they are supported by a team of allied health clinicians including dietetics, lactation, sleep and psychology, so that you get whole-person care, not just a prescription. Our appointments are longer because we do more than diagnose and treat: we take the time to explain what is happening in your body and why, because a woman who understands her own health can make better decisions about it. And we work alongside your regular GP to keep your care considered and coordinated, so nothing about your health falls through the gaps between appointments.

Why We Exist

Because for generations, women have been asked to know very little about their own bodies. Our grandmothers were taught not to speak of these things, our mothers inherited that silence, and many of us grew up filling the gaps with guesswork and quiet worry. Even now, women's health is too often rushed: symptoms called normal when they are not, reasonable questions left unanswered, appointments too short to tell the whole story. None of this is because doctors stopped caring. It is because women's health was never given the time it needs. We built Sydney Women's Wellness to break that cycle: a clinic where women get the time, the expertise and the evidence to understand their bodies, advocate for themselves, and raise daughters who will expect nothing less.

On The Word "Wellness"
We Thought Carefully About This

When I was naming this practice, I hesitated over the word "Wellness". In 2026, it is a word that has been quietly hijacked by a multi-billion dollar industry, one that stepped into the gap medicine left when it dismissed women for too long. That gap has been filled with supplements, infrared saunas, hormone detoxes, IV drips and many other offerings that range from harmless but useless to expensive and occasionally dangerous. When women have their questions unanswered and their symptoms dismissed, an industry that promises answers, and a way to feel better, will always find an audience. The trouble is that those answers are not always built on evidence, but rather on profit.

Wellness, at its heart, is the goal of every woman. But Wellness is not the opposite of medicine. It is what medicine, done well, is supposed to deliver.

So we kept the word and we've defined it as our own.

Wellness, at Sydney Women's Wellness, is the art of living well through education, evidence and considered care. It is being heard properly. It is understanding what is happening in your body. It is having a clear, evidence-based plan for what to do next, one that considers your goals, your preferences and the life you are actually living.

wellness /ˈwɛlnəs/ noun

the art of living well with education, evidence and considered care.

This definition shapes everything we do.

  • We don't sell supplements.
  • We don't run infrared saunas.
  • We don't offer hormone resets or detox programs.
  • We offer longer consultations.
  • We focus on educating our patients about what is happening in their bodies.
  • We use evidence-based assessment and genuine clinical expertise across periods, contraception, fertility, pregnancy, postpartum care, perimenopause and menopause, to provide a full picture of women's health, so that you can live… well.
