Frequently Asked Questions
Before your appointment

A quick guide to referrals, fees, telehealth, appointment times, cancellations, and what to do if you need urgent care.

No referral is required. Call our front desk or book online to see us today.
Our fees are based on the time spent with the doctor or allied health practitioner, and reflect the specialised nature of our appointments. We provide information on our out-of-pocket gap payments and Medicare rebate information on our New Patients page.
The Medicare Safety Net is designed to reduce your out-of-pocket costs for eligible out-of-hospital medical services once you reach a certain yearly threshold. If you are an individual with no dependants, you usually do not need to apply — Medicare will automatically keep track of your costs. If you are part of a couple or family, you do need to register as a family so your medical expenses can be combined, which may help you reach the threshold sooner. You can do this through your Medicare online account via myGov, the myGov app, or by completing a Services Australia form.
Yes, we provide telehealth consults for most of our specialist women's health consults as well as some of our allied health consults. This allows women across Sydney convenient access to our care, as well as access for those across regional and rural Australia.
Initial consultations are typically 40–60 minutes to ensure we have enough time to hear your story. Follow-up appointments range from 20–30 minutes, or longer if required.
Please bring your Medicare card, any recent blood test or scan results, and a list of your current medications. If you have been tracking your cycle, that information is really helpful too.
We require 48 hours' notice for cancellations to allow other patients to access that time; otherwise, a fee may apply. Please see our cancellation policy for more information.
We consult Monday through Friday, with early morning appointments available from 8am and after-hours appointments from 5pm–8pm at our Greenwich clinic.
Wait times do vary, but we do our best to see new patients within a reasonable timeframe. If it is an urgent issue — such as a breast change, bleeding in pregnancy, or any other urgent concern — please call or send an email requesting an urgent review and you will be triaged accordingly.
Please call 000 or go to your nearest emergency department, such as Royal North Shore Hospital.
