FEE & BILLING POLICY
Sydney Women’s Wellness is committed to providing personalised, high quality medical care for women and their families. To provide this high level of care our fees and our out-of-pocket costs reflect this. We operate as a private-billing practice. Fees for services are at the discretion of the attending doctor or allied health practitioner.
Fees for services are set by length and complexity of the consult, not the consult type/length booked.
Payment of fees is due at reception immediately after your consultation. Cash, cheques, all major credit cards and EFTPOS are
accepted (credit card payments may attract a surcharge). Appointed fees are non-refundable.
We understand that financial difficulties may arise, and we believe that patient healthcare should not be disadvantaged as a result. If you find yourself in this position, please discuss this directly with your practitioner.
We are a private billing practice and unfortunately, we are unable to bulk-bill concession card holders or children.
Medicare Rebates
Medicare rebates are available for eligible consultations (GP consults and Dietitian/Psychologist with an EPC referral or Mental Health Care Plan). These rebates will be processed online and will be paid directly to you. Please ensure you have updated your bank details with Medicare and your address details are correct.
If your baby has not yet been added to your Medicare, we can provide a paid invoice for you to claim with Medicare later.
Fees for face-to-face consults are equivalent to telehealth consults – however eligibility and level of rebates vary and hence out of
pocket cost may vary – please call reception to discuss this in detail further.
Certain consultations and procedures may have additional fees and/or rebates, depending on the duration and complexity of your
presentation or need for consumables, our reception staff will advise you on these.
Medicare Safety Net Threshold
If you have reached the Medicare Safety Net Threshold, you qualify for a larger Medicare rebate resulting in a lower out of pocket
fee. You can check whether you have reached the Medicare safety net through MyGov or by calling Medicare. Please note that the
Medicare safety net resets annually on January 1st. We recommend checking if you have reached the safety net prior to your
appointment and registering for it if you haven’t already.
After Hours and Weekend Consultations
Weekday after hours: Monday-Friday before 8am/after 8pm and Saturday 8-1pm consultations incur a $15 additional fee.
Saturday before 8am and after 1pm and Sunday/Public Holiday: all day will incur a $30 additional fee.
Private Health Insurance
Appointments with some of our allied health specialists may qualify for private health claims. This will depend on the type of
appointment, the practitioner seen and the level of private healthcare of the patient. We recommend contacting the practice for more information as well as your insurer before attending your appointment.
Cancellations and No Shows
For cancellations, we require a minimum of 12 hours’ notice for GP appointments and 48 hours for Allied Health appointments.
A $50 late cancellation fee will apply if the required 12 hour notice is not provided. For cancellations made WITHIN 2 hours of your appointment or for non-attendance, a fee equivalent to the full cost of the consultation will be charged.Kindly note that Medicare rebates will not apply to cancellation or non-attendance fees.
Credit Card Details and Prepayment
A credit card is required to secure your appointment, whether booking online, over-the-phone, or face-to-face.
For General Practice appointments, no payment will be taken from this card at the time of booking – except for new patient
appointments and 40min or 1-hour appointments. Our third-party booking system (Automed Systems) will tokenize the card so that
outstanding invoices, no-show fee, and/or late cancellation fee can be charged.
For *Allied Health appointments, a $70 prepayment will be charged as a deposit, which will be applied towards your final
appointment fee. Please note that this deposit is non-refundable in case of no-shows or cancellations made within 48 hours for Allied Health appointment.

Online Payments
Sydney Women’s Wellness offers online payment via SMS following telehealth consultations
Please note that there will be an additional surcharge fee passed on from Tyro + Automed Systems (1.75% + 30c) for all online fees.
